Phase I: Street Banners
St. Anne's Hill banners were officially unveiled for the neighborhood in October, 2009. They are located along Fifth Street. The six new banners were funded by a grant from the City of Dayton, with additional banners purchased by the Historic Society. They will help identify and promote the neighborhood.

Phase II: Mosiac Wall Project
The project will repair an existing brick wall gateway art feature and then install new mosaic panels at the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner Building located at 1500 E. Fifth Street, and then to erect similar walls at the Terry Street Park and install the mosaic panels.
The mosaic project is the result of a partnership between the K12 Gallery for Young People and the St. Anne's Hill Historic Society.
Leading the project team are Jerri Stanard and Elissa DeBarone of the K12 Gallery and Leah Turnbull from the St. Anne's Hill Historic Society.
The project is funded by a $15,000 grant from MetLife. Additional mosaic walls and other street improvements are planned, if further funding can be identified. The St. Anne's Hill Historic Society can accept tax-deductible donations to help complete the project.
Additional Information about the Mosaic Project:
Jessica Macmillan, lead artist, and Jerri Stanard, Executive Director of K12 Gallery, designed the mural concepts with the help of neighbors from the historic district. The mosaics will draw from local heritage and travels to Russia, Turkey, Germany, Britain, France, and other countries.
K12 and neighborhood leaders requested participation and inspiration from local residents who are encouraged to bring historical items and ideas for the mosaics. Artists from the K12 Gallery have photographed and/or sketch items and ideas for inspiration and inclusion in the walls. Neighbors' names, items and stories will be documented as a source for the panels.
Jessica is working with the Artist in Training students from K12 Gallery's after school program. In the meantime, the Liederkranz walls will be repaired and prepped and the brick walls at Terry St. Park built so they are ready for when the panels will be installed.
